Our team is made up of driven, talented individuals who enjoy tackling challenges and turning ideas into industry-leading solutions.As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly skilled SolidWorks Design Champion to help bring new concepts, products, and improvements to life.The OpportunityThis role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes SolidWorks. We're not necessarily looking for an engineer.

We're looking for someone who can take an idea from a whiteboard sketch, conversation, or rough concept and transform it into detailed, production-ready models and drawings.Hands-on manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or product development experience is a major asset. We value practical knowledge just as much as formal education.What You'll Do

- Create detailed 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks




- Generate manufacturing and fabrication drawings
- Convert concepts and verbal ideas into accurate CAD designs
- Develop prototypes and support new product development initiatives
- Revise and improve existing products based on field feedback
- Collaborate closely with operations, manufacturing, sales, and leadership teams
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production documentation
- Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and cost-effective
- Participate in product testing and continuous improvement projects
- Work intimately with our Lead designer
- Direct SR&ED; projects as required

What We're Looking ForRequired:

- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks
- Strong 3D modeling and drafting capabilities
- Ability to create professional manufacturing drawings
- Excellent understanding of design for manufacturability
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Highly Valued Assets:

- Fabrication, welding, machining, or manufacturing experience
- Experience designing industrial equipment or heavy-duty products
- Knowledge of production metals, assemblies, weldments, and mechanical systems
- Experience taking products from concept through production




- Understanding of real-world shop environments
- Experience creating exploded views, manuals, and technical documentation
- Product testing, and thinking outside of the box
