Role Description
- Receiving, evaluating and confirming engineering change documents.
- Completing BPCS and system search for data collection (affected parts, customers, routings, stock status, etc) and preparing documentation and templates for distribution.
- Chairing the weekly engineering change meeting to determine implementation details for new changes and confirm adherence to the schedule for changes in process.
- Completing and distributing engineering change plans following the initial meeting.
- Monitoring Inventory for items affected by engineering changes and updating implementation timing based on inventory depletion.
- Communication and negotiating implementation details with customers and suppliers (Change over timing, balance out coordination, obsolescence, claims, etc.)
- Preparing and issuing master engineering tags and first shipment recording sheets.
- Creating and updating BOMs in BPCS (Including new item master record’s if necessary)
- Setting and maintaining BPCS effectivity dates based on Inventory levels to prevent obsolescence related to engineering changes
- Coordinating internal balance out activity to ensure zero obsolescence’s at engineering change implementation.
- Confirming stock of old level parts after engineering change implementation and taking appropriate actions to dispose as required.
- Preparing and submitting cost recovery forms with supporting documents to TRAM sales, obsolescence reimbursement as related to engineering changes.
- Support other projects as assigned (Re-sourcing, cost reduction, build outs, minor model changes.
- Update the Toyota ECOM with shipping information.
- Respond to production requests due to scanning issues, adjust BOM as needed.
- Provide feedback on feasibility studies.
- Keep BPCS up to date by performing routine audits, resolving NPC discrepancies, monitoring inventory levels, and initiating scrap requests as needed
- Provide Finance with Pending Change Report, need to generate and customize weekly
- Every October assist in ICR for TRMX labels.

Master and update BOM's for all labels we make for TRMX by adding suffix -YY
- BPCS Adjustments; Utilize Access Database to record any/all changes made to BPCS and issue Log emails
- Update ECD database (Close ECD project)
- Coordinate/ order samples and monitor PCR samples builds and line trials/ pre-builds
- Schedule PPAP/ PCR Status meetings and communicate suppliers’ readiness (tooling, testing, trials)
- Develop action plans when scheduled timing is altered or delayed.
Requirements:
- Minimum College Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in Engineering Change Management preferred
- Experience in leading change review meetings
- Proficiency in BPCS, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, BOM, APQP, PPAP
- Systematic approach to problem solving and risk management
- Understanding of Material flow management, assembly processes and engineering drawings
- Basic knowledge of technology and platform information an asset
- Supplier and Customer coordination experience preferred
- Ability to assess Inventory and Production Impacts
- Knowledge of TRQSS procedures outlined in QS9000
