In this position, you will be a member of an Agile development team responsible for the delivery of our next-generation industrial software platform.
This solution will provide a software defined, data-centric, versatile platform which enables automation for AspenTech’s diverse customer base in a variety of critical infrastructures. This role’s contributions have highly visible impacts on the success and scalability of our software offerings to our customers. This includes designing robust data pipelines for OT environments, implementing governance frameworks, and ensuring reliable data delivery and automation.
Develop and maintain data connector and ingestion services for a variety of industrial data protocols (e.g., Implement data contextualization for a variety of use cases and create automated workflows for internal and external usage Ensure platform scalability and uptime for high-volume industrial data Embed observability logs, metrics, lineage, and alerts customers can utilize Document and version APIs and schemas for customer-facing usage Support the governance of data by applying access controls and compliance policies Define and enforce platform-level policies so that other applications suites can effectively utilize shared services. Actively participate with team members as part of a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) organization. Mentor and guide junior developers and influence architectural decisions across the team.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices around cloud native and Software-as-a-Service technologies and recommend adoption strategies aligned with business goals. Demonstrate effective communication skills as a participant in a variety of Agile ceremonies.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. ~A detailed understanding and working experience with cloud native technologies, services, and architecture. ~ Detailed knowledge of IoT or Edge devices and an understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, constraints, and risks. ~ Working experience with several of the following: ~ Databases: Programming Languages: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python, Lua ~ JavaScript Frameworks: Angular, React ~ Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions ~ Windows, Linux ~ Observability and Monitoring: Automated testing frameworks: OAuth 2.0, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) ~ Data platforms and integrations: Inmation, Aveva PI Connect, Microsoft Fabric ~ Experience with Agile development frameworks such as Protected or Scrum.
Strong personal project management skills; Potential and willingness to take on technical leadership opportunities when they arise. Passionate about finding creative solutions to problems, and pride in well-crafted code. Work in person at our office in Medina the majority of the week.
