Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Fitter / Welder to join our night shift team. This role involves assembling, fitting, and welding structural components with precision, ensuring all work meets safety standards and project specifications. Duties

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble structural components
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (MCAW), plasma cutters and join metal parts
- Perform welding tasks with expertise in MCAW/FCAW welding techniques to ensure strong, durable joints
- Rigging materials safely using cranes or hoists for lifting heavy components during assembly or installation
- Operate machining tools such as calipers for precise measurements and ensure components meet specifications
- Conduct quality inspections using schematics, calipers, and basic math to verify dimensions and fit before final assembly




- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following safety protocols to promote a safe working setting

Requirements

- Proven experience in structural fitting, welding (MCAW), or related manufacturing roles with construction or industrial experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and assembly techniques
- Skilled in rigging operations with crane or hoist certification preferred
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, calipers, and other measuring devices
- Ability to read schematics accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments
- Knowledge of ductwork installation and general construction practices is a plus
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance during all tasks
