About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a motivated and innovative Subsurface Geologist with a focus on new ventures to join their exploration team. This role will be primarily remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while contributing to the identification and evaluation of new exploration opportunities within prospective geological basins. You will analyze large datasets, identify potential plays, and collaborate with international teams to drive strategic growth. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regional geological studies to identify and characterize new exploration plays and fairways.
- Integrate and interpret diverse subsurface data, including seismic, well logs, gravity, and magnetic data.
- Utilize advanced geological modeling and basin analysis software to assess prospectivity.
- Evaluate exploration opportunities, including risk assessment and economic viability.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings and recommendations to management and partners.
- Collaborate with geophysicists,



reservoir engineers, and business development teams.

Requirements

- Master's or Ph.D. in Geology, Petroleum Geology, or a related Earth Science discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in exploration geology , with a strong track record in new ventures or frontier exploration.
- Expertise in basin analysis and play fairway mapping.
- Proficiency with industry-standard geological and geophysical software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom).
- Strong understanding of tectonic settings, sedimentology, and structural geology.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills suitable for a remote collaborative environment.
