As a Supply Chain Associate, you will report directly to the Senior Manager, IBP & International Sourcing. This role will support the day-to-day execution of supply chain activities, with primary responsibilities for order management, intercompany transactions, and transportation coordination. GETTING TO KNOW THE POSITION The role serves as an important link between Supply Chain and the Commercial team by monitoring customer orders, identifying changes or potential delays, and providing timely and accurate updates so Commercial teams can proactively communicate with customers and improve the overall customer service experience.
The Supply Chain Associate also processes intercompany transactions in SAP and coordinates transportation of materials and products between company plants and inbound from suppliers.This is a hands-on, execution-focused role requiring strong follow-through, attention to detail, communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple activities across Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Logistics, Commercial, suppliers, carriers, and other internal teams.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Order Management & Commercial Support
- Monitor customer orders from entry through production, shipment,
and delivery, ensuring dates and information remain accurate.
- Follow up with Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, and other teams to identify and resolve order delays, shortages, and other issues.
- Provide timely order-status updates to the Commercial team and escalate risks to customer commitments.
- Maintain accurate order information in SAP and support continuous improvement of order visibility and customer service
Intercompany Transactions
- Process and monitor intercompany orders, stock transfers, deliveries, and related SAP transactions between plants and legal entities.
- Coordinate with supplying and receiving plants to ensure transactions and shipments are completed on time.
- Monitor open transactions, investigate routine discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and escalate significant transactional, inventory, financial, or system issues
Transportation Coordination
- Coordinate inbound supplier and interplant transportation of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
- Arrange and monitor shipments with approved carriers, ensuring pickup and delivery requirements are met.
- Follow up on delayed or missed shipments and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Communicate transportation risks that may impact production or customer commitments and support expedited shipments when required.
SAP & Transactional Support
- Execute routine supply chain transactions accurately and in a timely manner in SAP and other applicable systems.
- Maintain accurate order, delivery, shipment, and transportation information and identify missing or incorrect data.
- Investigate routine transactional issues and coordinate corrections in line with established processes and controls.
- Support month-end activities by ensuring outstanding transactions are completed or appropriately identified.
Reporting & Operational Follow-Up
- Maintain routine reports and trackers covering customer orders, intercompany transactions, shipments, and transportation exceptions.
- Highlight past-due orders, upcoming commitments, delays, and other items requiring attention.
- Provide regular status updates and basic KPI reporting to Supply Chain and Commercial stakeholders.
- Identify recurring issues and support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE ?
- College diploma or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience in supply chain, order management, logistics, transportation, customer service, purchasing, or manufacturing.
- Experience with SAP or another ERP system is preferred.
- Basic understanding of order-to-delivery and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple orders, shipments, and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
