At Good

Shepherd, specifically at Dorothy Day Place, you'll provide crucial services to help those facing homelessness. The position involves developing individualized care plans, offering supportive counseling and education, and working within a trauma-informed, anti-racist framework. Your adaptability and commitment to cultural safety will be essential for creating a welcoming environment for all. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop individualized care and safety plans
- Provide supportive counseling and education on mental health




- Participate in case conferences with clinical supports
- Ensure a welcoming and dignified environment for participants
- Comply with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

- Minimum 1-year experience in social service profession
- Knowledge of anti-oppression and harm reduction principles
- Understanding of Hamilton's housing sector
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
