Duties

- Measure clients accurately to determine tailoring needs and desired fit
- Alter, repair, and customize garments according to specifications and style preferences
- Operate sewing machines, pressing equipment, and other tailoring tools efficiently and safely
- Consult with customers to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on fit and fabric choices
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency during all tailoring tasks
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines




- Provide excellent customer service by communicating progress and ensuring satisfaction with finished garments

Requirements

- Proven experience as a tailor or in a similar sewing and alteration role
- Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, fabrics, and garment construction
- Basic math skills for taking measurements, calculating fabric needs, and adjusting patterns
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to listen carefully and communicate clearly
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to different garment styles and customer preferences
- A passion for craftsmanship and delivering high-quality results
