Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Tanker Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate tanker trucks to transport liquids safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will be essential to succeed in this fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Safely operate tanker trucks to transport liquids across designated routes, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and tanker equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance
- Load and unload freight with precision, utilizing forklift skills when necessary for handling materials
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment as needed during loading or unloading processes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 Years valid Class 1 License w/ Clean Abstract
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with tanker trucks or similar heavy vehicle
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills
- Ability to perform detailed safety inspections and adhere strictly to safety protocols
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, climbing, or inspecting equipment as required
