Job Summary

Join our team as a Taxi Driver, providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation services to our passengers. In this role, you will be delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring passengers reach their destinations safely, efficiently, and on time. A commitment to passenger safety and a positive customer experience is essential. You will be responsible for maintaining a courteous and respectful manner with passengers while navigating local roads confidently and responsibly.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate a taxi to transport passengers along designated routes or as requested by customers.
- Greet passengers warmly, assist with boarding and luggage handling, and ensure a comfortable ride experience.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to maintain a secure environment for passengers and yourself.
- Manage cash transactions accurately when handling fare payments, providing receipts as needed.
- Plan efficient routes using GPS or maps to optimize travel time and reduce delays.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle to ensure a professional appearance at all times.
- Keep detailed records of trips, fares, and any incidents that occur during shifts for reporting purposes.





Skills

- Must have Ontario "G" class license or other provincial equivalent.
- Proven experience in driving, especially in a commercial or taxi environment, demonstrating secure and responsible operation of vehicles.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously with diverse passengers.
- Strong time management skills to ensure punctual pickups and arrivals while managing multiple trips efficiently.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining honesty and integrity in financial dealings.
- Knowledge of local streets, traffic patterns, and navigation tools such as GPS devices or mapping apps.
- Good physical condition to assist with luggage handling and long periods of driving.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, nights, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Compensation This is a contractual position with no EI or CPP deductions or employer contributions. The contractor is responsible for their own applicable taxes

Expected hours: 24.0 – 60.0 per week
