About the role

When customers experience a condominium loss or face a liability claim, the process can involve multiple parties, policies, and complex decisions. As a Claims Advisor III, Condominium and Liability, you will provide clear guidance, thoughtful advice, and dependable support when customers need it most. You will manage moderately complex condominium and third-party liability claims while supporting Quebec customers, condominium syndicates, property managers, third-party insurers, vendors, and internal Claims partners. You will investigate losses, assess coverage and liability, negotiate fair resolutions, and keep customers informed throughout the claims journey.

What you’ll do

- Guide customers through the claims process with empathy, clarity, and confidence.
- Manage moderately complex residential condominium and third-party liability claims from investigation through resolution.
- Review policy coverage, declarations of co-ownership, supporting documents, estimates, reports, invoices, and other available evidence.
- Coordinate with condominium syndicates, property managers, third-party insurers, claimants, vendors, and specialized internal partners.
- Investigate the circumstances of each loss and make timely, fair, and well-supported coverage and liability decisions.
- Review and respond to third-party demands and subrogation claims.
- Obtain statements, preserve relevant evidence, evaluate damages, and negotiate settlements within your authority.
- Maintain clear and accurate claim documentation, reserves, correspondence, and follow-up activities.
- Identify emerging risks, potential fraud, sensitive customer concerns, or complex matters and elevate them when appropriate.
- Manage your workload to meet customer, service, quality, and productivity commitments.
- Share knowledge,

guide colleagues, and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and continuously improving team environment.

What you bring

- Advanced French and English language skills are required.
- Valid claims adjuster license issued or recognized by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
- Four or more years of relevant claims, insurance, investigation, or related experience.
- Experience handling residential property, condominium, casualty, or liability claims.
- Strong investigation, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated empathy and the ability to explain complex decisions in clear language.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and claims desk-management skills.
- Sound judgment and the ability to work independently while recognizing when additional guidance is required.
- Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain the claims-adjusting license required for the role.
- Preferred Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience reviewing condominium documents or third-party subrogation demands.
- Chartered Insurance Professional, CIP, designation, or progress toward completion.
- Knowledge of residential construction, building materials, restoration, or repair estimating.
