McGill University is seeking Teaching Assistants for the Light Microscopy course. Contribute to students' learning through lab sessions, preparation, and grading responsibilities. The Department of Physiology is hiring two teaching assistants for the PHGY 560 course.
This role involves attending lab sessions, preparing for classes, and grading student reports and tests. Ideal candidates will have a B.Sc. in Science and strong communication skills in English, especially familiar with microscopy and digital imaging. Key Responsibilities:
- Attend and assist in 6 lab sessions
- Participate in 6 pre-lab meetings for preparation
- Review lab materials with the instructor
- Grade student lab reports and tests
- Provide constructive feedback on written work Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Science or related field
- Familiarity with microscopes and digital imaging
- Previous student in PHGY 560 preferred
- Solid written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to express written criticisms clearly Bring your science knowledge and assist in shaping future biologists at McGill University's Physiology Department.
