As a Team Assistant ( Full time, StartDate: Immediately; Location: North Bay or Timmins) , you will providesupport for the assigned team in their daily activities to ensure that patientsreceive prompt, effective customer service. Whether you work in our office, in thecommunity, or a health care facility – you will play a lead role in providingconnected, accessible, patient-centered care – and be supported by ourcollaborative team that includes over 9,000 regulated health care and otherprofessionals. What will you do?
- Provide administrative support services to Care Coordinators - Process new referrals, and orders for services, supplies andequipment - Process and assist in managing confidential patient records - Enter, update and maintain a high volume of patient data in theelectronic database - Answer a high volume oftelephone inquiries from patients, families and service providers,
and refercallers as appropriate - Initialassignment Intake Information and Referral, with possible assignment changeswithin the occupation based on operational needs - Provide back-up support toother positions, as required What must you have?
- A Grade12 diploma (minimum) - 2+years’r related office experience - Accuratekeyboarding/data-entry skills - Proficientwith database software, MS Word, Excel, and other applications in a Windowsenvironment - Excellentorganizational skills and ability to work independently with minimalsupervision - Advancedmulti-tasking skills, with the ability to meet performance and service goals - Exceptionalinterpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team and interacttactfully and sensitively with patients from wide-ranging cultural, ethnic andsocio-economic backgrounds - Excellentoral and written communication skills, including strong listening skills - Flexibilityto work a schedule that includes days, evenings and weekends to meetorganizational needs - Advanced oral and writtenproficiency in English and in French is essential - We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, allemployees are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination statusprior to start date. What would give you the edge?
- A college diploma in the health or social servicesfield,
or business/office administration - Familiarity with medical terminology, and officeadministrative procedures/concepts - Knowledge of services provided by Ontario HealthatHome - Abilityto speak French or another second language French Proficiency: French required Salary: Hourly wage of $25.35 to $29.46 Terms of Employment: Full-Time Whoare we?
