BUS TECHNICIAN / VEHICLE TECHNICIAN St. George, ON
$26.00/hour
Monday-Thursday 7:45 AM-4:00 PM | Friday 7:45 AM-1:00 PM
THE ROLE
We are hiring a hands-on Bus Technician / Vehicle Technician for a specialty vehicle manufacturing and service environment in St. George, ON. This position is ideal for someone with a strong automotive or mechanical background who is comfortable working with their hands, using tools, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and working on vehicles.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity in St. George, ON. The successful candidate will support the team with the assembly, servicing, maintenance, and repair of buses and specialty vehicles, including wheelchair-accessible vehicles and vehicle conversion components.
This is a great opportunity for someone who may not necessarily have formal bus experience but has solid automotive, truck, fleet, or mechanical experience and enjoys working on vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform hands-on mechanical work on buses, vans, and specialty vehicles
- Assist with the assembly, modification, servicing, and repair of vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Complete repairs and component replacements as requiredInstall, adjust, and service various vehicle components
- Work with hand and power tools to complete mechanical tasks
- Assist with vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Assist with basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Follow technical instructions, diagrams, and service information
- Ensure completed work meets quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support other mechanical and vehicle-related duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience working on vehicles, automotive equipment, trucks, buses, or similar mechanical equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify mechanical issues
- Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Previous experience with buses, commercial vehicles, fleet vehicles, or specialty vehicles is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and dependable
- Comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
