POSITION TITLE: Telecommunication Installer - Wireless
LOCATION: Schomberg (reporting location) will be working in and around Newmarket and Barrie area

SUMMARY:
We are currently hiring a full-time Telecommunications Installer to join our Wireless Division in the Simcoe Region, including Newmarket and Barrie.
The successful candidate will install, service, and maintain wireless internet services for residential and business customers. This is a hands-on field position that involves working at customer locations and requires flexibility to work days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed.
The role involves installing and servicing wireless equipment, running and securing cable, drilling, testing and troubleshooting equipment, and performing ladder and rooftop work. The successful candidate will be comfortable working outdoors and at heights, enjoy hands-on technical work, and take pride in providing professional and friendly customer service.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent Vianet in a positive, professional, and customer-focused manner.
- Drive a company vehicle to residential and business customer locations to complete installations and service calls.
- Perform installations and service calls during days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Install, modify, service, test, and remove wireless telecommunications equipment and hardware.
- Complete all installation functions associated with bringing wireless internet service to homes and businesses, including drilling, running and securing cabling, equipment installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Perform ladder, rooftop, and other work at heights in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Assess and troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures while working in the field.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Complete work independently while maintaining productivity, quality, and excellent customer service.
- Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Previous telecommunications experience or experience in another technical or hands-on field is an asset. Wage will be dependent upon expereince.
- Strong computer skills and comfort with technology.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather and environmental conditions.
- Comfortable working safely at heights, including ladder and rooftop work.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with an awareness of potential hazards and the ability to work safely in the field.
- Safety certifications such as Working at Heights, Fall Arrest, Ladder Safety, WHMIS, and First Aid/CPR are an asset. Vianet will provide required safety training.
- Strong troubleshooting, technical, and problem-solving skills.

- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential to the position.
