Employer Name : Heritage Mountain Daycare Early childhood educator (ECE) Salary : $23.50 to $24.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 to 40 hours per week Permanent employment, Full time Location : 145 Ravine Drive, Port Moody, BC V3H 4W3 The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing childcare programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. The candidate must maintain daycare equipment. The candidate must synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate this information to their parents.

The candidate must lead activities such as telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest. The candidate must encourage children to express their creativity through art,



dramatic play, music, and physical activity. The candidate must guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.

The candidate must prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods. The candidate must observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural issues and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors. The candidate must discuss children’s progress and any problems at staff meetings.

The candidate must plan and maintain an setting that protects children’s health, safety, and well-being. The candidate should be fluent in the English language. The candidate must have a College or CEGEP education.

A candidate with experience is an asset. The candidate must have an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, a First Aid Certificate, and a CPR Certificate. #
