As a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), you will assess emergency scenes and patients and may transport ill or injured patients from emergency scenes and between facilities. You may also lead the BLS crew in delivering clinical care during patient transport or at emergency scenes.You will assist in ensuring that ambulances or other transport vehicles, including non-emergent transport (NET) units, are properly stocked and equipped in accordance with established standards.The working environment for a PCP is demanding and includes exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, moving traffic, and industrial and agricultural equipment. Completion of additional post-secondary programs is considered an asset. Applicants should provide any post-secondary education or training at the time of application for it to be considered during the selection process. A satisfactory criminal record check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search is required prior to your first day of work.
