The Opportunity

We are seeking a Thoracic Surgeon to join our healthcare teams across Newfoundland and Labrador. This is an opportunity to build a deeply meaningful, diverse, and rewarding practice, including:





- Working with the Thoracic Surgery and Respiratory Division
- A clinical workload consisting of the surgical care of inpatients, including but not limited to consultations, surgery, and follow-up visits
- Outpatient care in Ambulatory Care Clinics
- On-call commitment will be shared with the other physicians in the Division of Thoracic Surgery and Respiratory Division You will collaborate with other physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, with access to regional support and telehealth services that help you feel connected and supported in your practice.

Qualifications To be considered, you must:

- Hold a Medical Degree (MD)
- Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL)
- Certification by the Royal College Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification in General Surgery or Cardiac (or equivalent) and subspecialty in Thoracic surgery
- Satisfy credentialing requirements of NL Health Services, including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
- Demonstrate a strong record of professionalism, collaboration,



and patient care International applicants are welcome! Expedited licensure pathways may be available for individuals who have completed their postgraduate training program in the United States and hold current American Board Certification in their respective discipline. New licensure pathways are available for physicians trained in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Remuneration is competitive and in accordance with the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association (NLMA) Memorandum of Agreement and MCP Fee Schedule.

We offer flexible compensation models, including salaried and fee-for-service options.

- Competitive salary based on years of clinical experience
