Position Summary

Neil & Fernanda Campbell Farms Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Turkey Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our brooder and finishing barns. This is hands -on, live- in position is suited to someone with strong livestock management, mechanical, organizational, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

Turkey Flock Management

· Prepare brooder and finishing barns for flock placements, ensuring proper bedding, heating, ventilation, feed, and water systems.

· Monitor flock health, bird growth, mortality, feed and water consumption, and barn conditions daily.

· Maintain accurate flock records, monitor performance targets, and report concerns to the owner/supervisor.

· Administer medication withdrawal protocols and humanely euthanize compromised birds using approved methods.

· Manage bird transfers, recovery pens, shipping preparations, and supervision of shipping crews.

· Maintain feed ordering schedules, retained feed samples, and flock documentation.

Farm Operations & Maintenance

· Operate and monitor Edge Controls, alarm systems, security systems, water treatment, and generators.

· Perform routine repairs and maintenance on barns, equipment, tractors, trailers, feed systems, heaters, and water systems.

· Maintain farm biosecurity, rodent control, composting, and compliance with On-Farm Food Safety and Flock Care Programs.

- Manage snow removal, driveway maintenance, groundskeeping, inventory of replacement parts, and general farm cleanliness.
- Assist with hay handling, crop-related activities, and building renovations or other projects as required.





Leadership & Administration · Independently manage daily farm operations and lead employees as required.

· Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with farm SOPs, management guides, and industry Codes of Practice.

· Conduct barn inspections at least twice daily, including weekends, and perform night inspections during early brooding and turkey shipping.

Abilities Required

· Operate the business independently.

· Lead & Manage employees.

· Time management & organization

· Barn checks on weekends

· Night shifts/inspections during brooding (first 2-3 days) and during supervising of shipping.

· Physical fitness (ability to lift turkeys up to 25kg, cardio for daily barn routines, hot workplace)

· Carpentry & Mechanical Skills

· Record keeping & compliance.

· Operate controls & security platform from computer & smartphone.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma. College Diploma or Certificate in Agriculture or Trades an Asset

· Experience in repair and maintenance of farm buildings and equipment (curtains, feedlines, heaters, water systems, tractors, implements, hydraulics etc.)

· Successful Farm Management Experience an Asset

Compensation & Incentives

· Base Salary $70,000 - $80,000 depending on Experience

· Shipping Bonus $28/hr (night supervision of the loading of turkeys)

· Flock Performance Incentives (livability, growth performance to target, profitability). Up to $3000 per flock, $12,000 per year.

Live- in Farmhouse

· 3-bedroom farmhouse (included – no smoking)

· Newly renovated with brand new appliances

· Responsible for Utilities (gas, electricity) & Monthly Water Heater/Water Softener Payments

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
