As our mining and metals activities continue to grow, we’re seeking a mining engineer to join our high-performing mining team. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging projects.

You’ll also help with sustaining and growth projects, working closely with BBA and client teams to delivery practical solutions to complex mining challenges. Ideally, you’ll be an underground mining professional with an interest in consulting and client engagement within the base and precious metals sector. You’re a dynamic, creative and creative mining engineer committed to delivering high-quality services to a growing client base.

Provide mining engineering and design services for underground mine studies, including scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed design and NI 43-101 technical reports: Selecting underground mining methods Optimizing underground stopes and developing mine designs Preparing mine plans and production schedules Calculating equipment fleets Manage the mining scope of large projects Liaise with clients on technical matters and present results professionally Deliver high-quality services that uphold BBA’s professional reputation Mentor junior mining engineering staff Do your qualities and values match our corporate culture? Undergraduate or graduate degree in mining or geological engineering from a recognized university Experience working at a mining operation, in engineering and/or in project evaluation Advanced proficiency with underground mine design and planning software (Deswik preferred) Experience selecting mine equipment and estimating capital and operating costs Understanding of the key components required for a successful mining operation (processing, tailings, infrastructure)
