26.0081 to 27.6361 per hour

JOB PURPOSE The Groundskeeper/Equipment Operator is responsible for operating grounds equipment and performing basic maintenance work.

QUALIFICATIONS

- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must have one year of previous experience driving a one-ton truck for commercial purposes and must have snowplowing experience.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Groundskeeper/Equipment Operator is responsible for:

- Operating a snowplow to salt, sand and remove snow from parking lots and roadways
- Salting, sanding and shovelling snow from entrances and walkways
- Fertilizing, watering, weeding and mowing lawns
- Trimming trees and shrubs
- Collecting and disposing of litter and debris
- Planting, transplanting, weeding and maintaining flowers and shrubs
- Performing minor maintenance of buildings and equipment
- Performing housekeeping tasks
