Vineyard Supervisor

This position reports to the appropriate region Vineyard Manager.

Role:

The Vineyard Supervisor is responsible for leading daily crew activity by the direction of the Vineyard Manager. This includes supervising crews, arranging for equipment, materials, and tools to be available in the right locations at the right times.

Responsibilities:

Is responsible for, but not limited to:

- Cultivation, thinning, pruning, tying, suckering, canopy management, planting, and replanting.
- Pest, fungicide, and herbicide management.
- Erosion control, trellis installation, irrigation installation, frost protection.
- Provide and acquire proper tools for all jobs; make sure that workers use the necessary equipment.
- Enforce quality control procedures throughout the year.
- Enforce company policy; ensure that every job or task is safe for employees.
- Must be able to reasonably estimate harvest equipment needed; Provide accurate harvest estimate
- Increase/improve fruit and wine quality.

Qualifications:

- Requires valid Canadian drivers license
- Requires First Aid certificate
- Requires operating cell phone

Job Type: Full time Pay: $22.00 per hour
