We’re looking to enhance our team by welcoming a new Warehouse Material Handler to the Warehouse Team.
The Warehouse Material
Handler is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of raw materials and finished goods to support production and warehouse operations. This role involves picking and delivering raw materials to production, performing order picking and loading, receiving and storing inbound shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records using the Sage X3 ERP system.
The Material
Handler ensures proper stock rotation, conducts cycle counts, and upholds quality standards by checking inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and damage. In addition, this role contributes to a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment, adheres to all food safety and health & safety policies, and may be required to operate a 20-foot truck to transfer materials between facilities.
The role:
- Pick raw materials based on ingredient list provided, accurately and in the most efficient manner.
- Deliver raw materials to production in a timely manner and work collaboratively with production staff to quickly resolve any discrepancies.
- Process production leftover ingredients back to the warehouse accurately.
- Lifting – raw materials and finished products.
- Loading – Efficiently move product from staging and / or storage areas into trailers.
- Inventory – keep appropriate records and reports, prepare cycle counts, follow FIFO / FEFO and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Track inventory using ERP system either through terminal entry or using RF scanning methods.
- Receiving/put-away – Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations; efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
- Quality – Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage, report quality variances.
- Order picking – Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped; perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets operational standards.
- Safety, Sanitation, Security – Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area; assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse; conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Accountable for the safe & productive operation of the vehicle.
- Perform company GMP practices and follow all GMP guidelines.
- Able to operate a shunt truck to transfer materials between facilities with required licensing.
- Any other warehouse related duties as assigned.,

You offer
- 1– 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a food production facility.
- Valid forklift license including powered walkie and reach ceritification – forklift license must be current and recognized in Ontario.
- Valid Driver’s license (G).
- Completion of high school – read, write speak English.
- Experience operating Sage X3 or equivalent Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Having knowledge of warehouse inventory and warehouse maintenance methodology.
- Having knowledge of safety measures needed for this job function.
- Must be available for rotating shifts, occasional overtime, and weekend work as needed.
- Ability to work unsupervised and/or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to problem-solve under pressure.
- Work in a fast-paced food production environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals, machinery, and varying temperatures.
- Physical demands include standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasionally working in confined spaces.
- Compliance with PPE requirements, including gloves, masks, and protective clothing.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Afternoon Shift or Night Shift)
Work Location: Markham, ON
Pay: $21.63-$24.04 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
