Key Responsibilities
- Perform full cycle accounting duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met
- Use SAP to record, analyze, and report financial data accurately
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead
- Maintain fixed asset schedules, including additions, disposals, and depreciation tracking
- Prepare variance analysis (standard vs. actual costs) and provide insights to management
- Reconcile inventory accounts and support physical inventory counts
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to improve cost efficiency
- Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations

Comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, including worker duties under Section 28

Follow all company health and safety rules, regulations, and procedures

Adhere to established safety, quality, environmental, and housekeeping standards

Report hazards, near misses, incidents, defects, or compliance issues promptly

Participate in investigations and provide input on corrective actions

Uphold workplace violence and harassment prevention policies (Bill 168)

Attend required Environmental Health and Safety training

Understand and exercise the right to refuse unsafe work
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA a plus
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory accounting
- Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
