We're a family in the Glebe looking for a dynamic, proactive, and thoughtful person to join our household, either full-time or part-time depending on your flexibility with the hours.

A parent is sometimes home, sometimes not. Either way we need someone self-directed who gets things done without being asked and genuinely reduces the mental load rather than adding to it.

About the Kids: Infant, 4 months (home full-time)

Toddler, 2.5 years (attends daycare)

Hours:
May, June & August: Split shifts, 7–11am and 4–8pm, Monday to Friday
July (and September ): Full-time, 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday

Open to one person covering all hours or two candidates splitting the shifts

Responsibilities:

Household management: meal prep, kitchen, laundry, tidying, and keeping the home organized and stocked

Infant and toddler care, including daycare drop-off and pickup
Age-appropriate, screen-free activities and lots of outdoor time

Occasional international travel with the family

You like to experiment with recent recipes and cuisines, always keen to learn and adapt
You thrive on solving problems before they're ever a problem
You like to leave things tidier than you found them, including dishes, floors, surfaces, laundry, and the never-ending pile of things on tables
Your philosophy is Montessori-aligned (or Good Inside, or Whole Brain Child) and screen-free
You love the challenge of connecting with a fun, bright, sensitive toddler who has big feelings and lots of energy
You like running around outside, chasing after said toddler, and generally maintaining a high energy pace




You know when to calm things down and shape the environment into a quieter space
You know how to set and maintain loving boundaries and turn hard situations into playful ones
You know how to entice a toddler away from their parents when needed
You don't baby talk to toddlers but can turn it on for the infant
You're experienced in infant care, from the 4-month sleep regression to sleep training, bottle feeding, breastfeeding support, and starting solids
You know how to attend to a crying infant, identify the issue, and resolve it
You're interested in learning the latest baby tools and apps (Momcozy, Huckleberry, etc.)
You enjoy taking babies out into the world for walks, playgroups, or just time outside
You're excited about traveling with a young family, short and long haul, cities mostly
You're flexible to extend hours when a parent travels for work

You pride yourself on efficiency, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to have fun

Requirements: Experience in a house manager, household assistant, or senior nanny role

Confident with an infant, toddler, or both at once
Strong cooking skills, family meals not just kids' snacks
Valid driver's license (clean record); vehicle preferred, ours available if needed
CPR/First Aid certified
Vulnerable sector check
Legally authorized to work in Canada

Valid passport or willingness to obtain one

Details: Live-out, no pets

Occasional international travel

Long-term role; hours will evolve as the family's needs change
