Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Wood Worker Machine Operator and Sanding Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various woodworking machinery, including CNC machines, press brake machines, CNC lathes, and milling machines, to produce high-quality wooden components. You will also perform sanding and finishing tasks to ensure products meet strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Operate woodworking machinery such as CNC milling machines, and sanding equipment to shape and finish wood components efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to ensure accurate production specifications.
- Program CNC machines using CNC programming techniques to produce exact parts according to design requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery including Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, hand tools, and other measurement devices to verify dimensions and surface finishes meet standards.




- Safely handle materials using forklifts and other warehouse equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support assembly processes by preparing finished parts for packaging or further assembly stages.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, machine settings, and quality checks for documentation purposes.

Skills

- Proficiency with CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines, and related equipment such as Fanuc controls.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining techniques, welding, and blueprint reading.
- Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks for design interpretation and modifications.
- Ability to operate hand tools, calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision measurement instruments accurately.
- Knowledge of packaging processes and warehouse operations for efficient material handling.
- Skilled in basic math calculations necessary for precise machining adjustments and measurements.
- Experience with quality control procedures to ensure finished products meet specifications.
- Ability to operate forklift safely within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Understanding of safety standards related to woodworking machinery operation and general manufacturing practices.
