We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support our growing team in Markham, Ontario , delivering high-voltage transmission and substation capital projects primarily across Canada.

Role & Responsibilities In this role, you will: Project Leadership & Delivery Lead end-to-end delivery of high-voltage transmission (115kV+) and substation projects, from initiation through close-out.
Define and manage scope, WBS, cost baselines, and integrated schedules.
Drive execution across engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning teams.
Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.




Stakeholder & Communication Management Act as the primary interface across project stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Coordinate across internal teams, field teams, and external partners.
Proactively manage risks, issues, and escalations.
Reporting & Executive Communication Lead project reporting, executive presentations, and status updates.
Develop and deliver high-quality executive presentations and dashboards.
Ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy in cost, schedule, and risk reporting.
Translate technical project data into explicit, decision-ready insights.
Project Controls & Performance Management Monitor and control performance using EVM metrics (SPI, CPI).
Partner closely with Project Controls to ensure cost and schedule alignment.
Drive forecasting, variance analysis, and corrective actions.
Construction & Utility Execution Oversee transmission line builds, reconductoring, and upgrades, as well as substation construction, expansions, and energization.
Ensure construction readiness, commissioning planning, and safe execution.
Support initiatives tied to grid reliability, resiliency, and system upgrades.
Governance & Compliance Ensure adherence to utility, regulatory, and safety standards.
Maintain compliance with permitting, environmental, and interconnection requirements.
Drive accountability across all project stakeholders.
Qualifications / Requirements To succeed in this role, you bring: Must-Have 10+ years of project management experience in electric utility infrastructure.
Direct experience with high-voltage transmission (115kV+) and substation projects (builds, upgrades, and expansions).




Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver executive-level communication.
Strong background in stakeholder coordination and management, and in reporting and presentation delivery.
Experience managing cost, schedule, and risk in complex capital projects.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project, advanced Excel, and Power Point (executive-level presentations).
Preferred Experience working with major North American utilities.
PMP, P. Eng, or equivalent certification.
Experience in regulated utility environments, ideally within Canada.
Familiarity with EVM, governance frameworks, and utility reporting standards.

Proven track record delivering complex utility capital projects.

Salary Range for Role $195,000

- $205,000 CADCompensation at PTAG varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
