Here’s where you’ll have an impact:
- Assist in making real time decisions using a warehouse management system to allocate work and staff in the most effective manner (rearrange tasks based on work needed).
- Seek improvements and innovations to optimize performance and productivity (typically, the coordinator acts as a participant in a lead project by the foreperson/senior foreperson).
- Take and active role with employees and encourage their involvement.
- Participate in training employees on procedures, health and safety, SOPs.
- Perform daily inventory of pallets.
- Track and monitor warehouse equipment including preventative maintenance scheduling/tracking.
- Ensure the replenishment of warehouse supplies.
- Provide support and coverage to shipping/receiving team leads and administration.
- Conduct customer investigations and elevate as required.
- Participate as a member of the JOHSC committee.
- Conduct injury/accident investigations, reporting, and follow up with employees.
- All other duties assigned by management.
- Corrective actions resulting from audits or employee feedback.
- Monitor and track transport equipment for maintenance, licencing etc.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table:
- Post secondary degree o or diploma
- A minimum of 2 years in distribution or personnel management (any other combination of education and experience deemed equivalent will be considered)
- Proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
- Manages time and priorities effectively and maintains composure in stressful situations.
- Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of EXE, SAP, BW, C3, TMS, Verisae & TMS.
- Validdriver’s Licence is essential.
- Technically inclined totroubleshoot.
