Wind River Systems is seeking a high-performing, highly skilled team software engineer for a team developing automated tests to validate safety-critical embedded real-time operating systems and embedded virtualization solutions. The purpose of this role is to lead this team to organize its work, help the team follow the development process,



including agile methodologies, deliver on its commitments with technical contributions and interface with engineering management and technical authority on timeline and deliverables.Responsibilities
Learn about and research new product featuresDevelop end-to-end automated tests to exercise those recent featuresMaintain the existing automated test suite and triage issuesAdd automation coverage for new hardware and peripherals as neededMentor junior members of the teamDevelop new test plans and test strategiesPerform manual tests as necessaryProvide technical guidance and expertise to the teamContribute to the team’s deliverablesABOUT YOU
BSc or higher degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Software Engineering, or other STEM field) or equivalent work experience6+ years of software development experienceSolid understanding of software development methodology,



including Agile.Solid understanding of test methodologySolid understanding of PythonFamiliarity with test automation frameworks such as pytestStrong knowledge of LinuxHighly competent in C and shell scriptingStrong software architecture skillsContainerization experienceKnowledge of security practices and principles is a plusOnly Canadian Citizenship RequiredCore Competencies and Demonstrated Success
Ability to work well in a team Strong technical leadership skills Good time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills Strong documentation and writing skills Familiarity with software configuration management tools, preferably git and Bitbucket Familiarity with defect tracking tools, preferably Jira.It will be great if you also have:
