Job Description Summary The Engineering Technician performs complex assignments in support of product development within a cross-functional workplace. This position serves as a key technical resource for the team, responsible for end-to-end support of new product introductions and product support, including equipment assembly, test preparation, advanced system-level troubleshooting, and the integration of AI-driven tools to enhance development and diagnostic efficiency. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities System Assembly & Construction: Perform complex assembly for both prototype and production units while building and evaluating sophisticated engineering models. Advanced Troubleshooting: Conduct comprehensive fault analysis at the subsystem and system levels, leveraging AI diagnostic tools to resolve complex multi-variable issues. Testing & Validation: Prepare and execute diagnostic procedures, verifying the accuracy of AI-drafted test protocols against real-world hardware performance. Design Optimization: Conduct rigorous diagnostic testing and implement necessary corrections to improve existing designs, processes, and intermodule dependencies. Technical Documentation: Support the creation of engineering, manufacturing, and service documentation to ensure operational clarity. Operational Support: Provide ongoing technical support for production and field service operations to maintain high-quality system performance. Quality Monitoring: Monitor defect trends, communicating critical technical issues to the engineering team. Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing:
Support training materials development and provide technical guidance to team members, utilizing AI tools to rapidly reference procedures and best practices. Required Qualifications Educational Foundation : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of formal education and hands-on technical experience. Professional Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a hardware-focused technical role, with a proven track record in high-complexity environments. System-Level Diagnostic Expertise: Demonstrated ability to perform advanced troubleshooting across complex, multi-variable subsystems and integrated systems. Digital Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in navigating, utilizing, and modifying computerized work systems, including the integration of AI-driven diagnostic and documentation tools. Desired Characteristics Proactive Problem-Solving: Ability to independently identify technical issues, draw logical conclusions, and implement practical solutions with minimal guidance. Applied Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with standard electronics lab equipment and a solid grasp of testing methods to validate hardware performance. Technical Communication: Capability to interpret complex technical information and translate it into clear, effective verbal and written communication for the team.
