About the Clients:

Were seeking a compassionate caregiver to support a couple in their early eighties who recently moved into a small condo in Aurora. Mom is managing cancer and uses a walker for mobility, while Dad is still active but finding household tasks increasingly challenging. Theyre adjusting to independent condo living and value maintaining their autonomy while receiving the right level of support. Both are open to care but prefer a gentle, respectful approach that honors their independence.

Responsibilities:

• Light housekeeping and cleaning of their small condo (approximately 1 hour per visit)


• Laundry assistance as needed


• Accompanying Mom on walks around the neighborhood, to the nearby park, or to the local senior center


• Providing companionship and engaging conversation


• Assisting with chair fitness activities in the buildings gym when appropriate


• Occasional transportation for errands or appointments


• Building a trusting relationship that can grow as care needs evolve over time

What Were Looking For:

• Experience supporting multiple clients or couples preferred


• Calm, patient demeanor with robust interpersonal skills


• Ability to make clients feel comfortable while respecting their independence


• Reliable and consistent with excellent communication


• Takes initiative and brings positive energy to each visit


• Comfortable with light mobility support (Mom uses a walker)


• Understanding that this role will start small but may increase in hours as the relationship develops

Schedule:

Were looking for someone available for two visits per week, approximately 2 hours per visit (4 hours total weekly). Preferred days are Monday and Thursday, ideally between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, though were open to caregiver availability within reasonable afternoon hours. Flexibility is appreciated as we establish the best routine for everyone.
