If you’re someone who thrives in a team setting and doesn’t shy away from a good challenge, join us!The role will be required to successfully pass Site Access Security Clearance (CSIS Level 1).JOB SUMMARYThe Director, SMR Delivery is accountable to provide strategic leadership and direction across Engineering, Construction, Project Delivery and Regulatory Affairs. As a member of Sask Power’s Senior Management team, this position is responsible to organize, direct, and control the planning and execution function of the division with a focus on aligning departmental efforts to Sask Power’s strategic goals and objectives.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAllocate material, human, and financial resources in order to implement corporate policies and programs, including the establishment of financial and administrative controlsConduct and participate in strategic planning sessions independent from or in conjunction with senior leadership in order to set measurable targets for the departmentProactively anticipate, resolve, and prevent departmental issues using creative and practical solutionsManage departmental resources effectively by identifying efficiencies and best practices for the department, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvementDeliver presentations to Sask Power’s Executive, Board of Directors,



Government committees and/or private sector partners – including industry associations, vendors, and contractors regarding policies, programs or budgetsOversee and manage the proactive engagement and professional development of leadership staff, ensuring adequate and appropriate succession planningPromote a proud and productive environment for all employees by fostering engagement and establishing and modelling corporate valuesOther related duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIESDegree in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, Science or other related equivalent AND/OR; Related professionaldesignation(s) and/or certification(s) AND/OR; Ten (10) years of extensive experience leading large-scale industrial projects, with demonstrated expertise in project scheduling and successful deliveryUnderstanding of the Canadian nuclear regulatory framework and ability to contribute to interpretations of regulations from regulatory agencies.Team leader with the ability to foster and improve the long‑term development and growth of a department and managerial staffAbility to apply a strategic focus to all areas of responsibility and manage innovative departmental practices in a continually changing environmentAbility to impact and influence employee engagement while building and maintaining effective relationshipsResults oriented and strategic thinker with the ability to negotiate and manage complex and confidential issues with extreme sensitivity and professionalismAbility to ensure a nuclear safety culture focused on a questioning attitude, accountability, and teamworkDemonstrated skill in Sask Power’s competenciesMust have a continuing record of professional developmentA suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be consideredCandidates under consideration may be required to participate in an assessment process consisting of any/all of the following: interview, abilities test, case study and/or presentation.At Sask Power, we believe in the importance of diversity and inclusion.
