This position is out of our Baie‑Sainte‑Anne, NB site, you will be performing a variety of tasks, including preventive maintenance and repairs to rolling‑stock (tractors, loaders, forklifts, trucks and implements). Your work includes: oil & filter changes; welding & fabrication; basic 12 & 24 volt electrical troubleshooting & installation; hydraulic hose repair; etc. Applicants MUST: Work in a safe manner and display a valuable attitude Have reliable transportation and be capable of working overtime Work independently and as part of a team Maintain a neat, safe work environment Be capable of working in a noisy, dusty environment and in cold and hot conditions Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds Be a licensed Heavy Equipment Mechanic OR be a recognized apprentice in the trade OR be able to demonstrate proficiency and experience in the trade Meet minimum performance standards, including pre-employment testing (theory and practical) Be capable of climbing safely in and out of heavy equipment Be able to speak, read and write in ENGLISH and be able to communicate well Not have restrictions limiting one’s ability to properly wear Personal Protective Equipment Provide a CPIC (Criminal Record) Check.
