As the Lead for Generalist Health Care at York University School of Medicine (YUSOM), you will be responsible for the comprehensive development and implementation of the GHC 1 curriculum. Your role will involve engaging with diverse stakeholders to enhance pedagogical practices, integrate cutting-edge learning methodologies, and maintain educational standards that support student growth in clinical and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct planning and quality assurance of GHC 1 curriculum
• Set clear learning objectives and assessment frameworks
• Facilitate case-based learning and active engagement
• Collaborate on integration of equity-driven content
• Support faculty development and remediation processes
Requirements:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) required; advanced degree preferred
• Expertise in curriculum development and case-based methodologies
• Experience in primary/generalist health care settings
• Familiarity with medical education standards and practices
• Strong skills in leadership, organization, and collaboration
