Waasakwa Children's Centre is seeking on-call childcare support staff. We need caring individuals ready to assist in our programs with adaptable availability.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a passion for supporting families. This role allows you to work on short notice in a energetic environment, while benefiting from enriching early years experience. Join a community-focused team dedicated to quality childcare.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide on-call support for childcare programs
• Engage children in educational and recreational activities
• Collaborate with staff to ensure program effectiveness
• Work flexible schedule, responding to urgent staffing needs
• Enhance the community's cultural connections through childcare
Requirements:
• Experience in childcare is highly valued
• Understanding of Anishinaabe culture is a plus
• Valid First Aid & CPR certification (Level C)
• A current Vulnerable Sector Check is mandatory
• Must apply as a band/community member only
