We offer occupational therapy, physiotherapy, massage therapy, exercise therapy, mindfulness, and acupuncture services from three clinic locations in Etobicoke, Pickering, and Peterborough, as well as in the community (mobile) and virtually.Our clinics feature large accessible spaces with private treatment rooms, an open-gym concept, and a range of therapeutic equipment including LiteGait, Keeogo, and Neuroskin. We provide administrative team support to facilitate paperwork, booking, and billing.Location:This role will service two of our three clinic locations—Etobicoke and Pickering—with the ability to service clients in-clinic and, on occasion, in the surrounding community.Who We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a dynamic and motivated Occupational Therapist who:Clinical Qualifications & ExperienceIs in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)Holds a University Degree in Occupational TherapyClinical experience in neurological rehabilitation (physical, cognitive, sensory, and psychosocial)
and upper extremity rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions is preferredExperience in a private practice setting and/or as an independent contractor is an assetExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA skilled listener who creates meaningful connections with clients and colleaguesAbility to manage their own caseload, respond to urgent issues, and consistently communicate with team members in a timely mannerEnjoys working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary teamProblem-Solving & AdaptabilityThinks outside the box and demonstrates valuable judgment and problem-solving skillsAbility to adapt to a fast-paced and challenging environmentPossesses a diverse skillset and willingness to share and learn as their role growsProfessionalism & ComplianceAbides by college standards pertaining to client confidentiality, record keeping, informed consent, and practice as a licensed occupational therapistComplies with college standards in record keeping and completes reports according to client treatment plans in a timely mannerAdditional AssetsExperience or interest in blogging and social media is an assetHolds a valid Driver’s Licence and has access to a vehicle (for community visits)Values & Culture FitWants to grow their clinical expertise through mentorship and continuing educationValues clinical autonomy and the culture of a clinician-led, privately-owned practice*New graduates with a passion for making a difference in people’s lives are welcome to apply.What You Will Receive1-on-1 mentorship with senior Occupational TherapistMonthly clinical rounds with the full interdisciplinary team, including PTs, OTs, RMTs, and other healthcare providersIn-services by senior clinicians covering advanced OT techniques, splinting fabrication, and neurorehabilitationStudent mentorship opportunities – Propel routinely offers clinical placements for OT and OTA program studentsCommitment & CompensationIndependent Contractor — part-time with the ability to transition to full-time employment$45-$95 per hour, dependent on experience and skillsetFlexible; ability to service clients in-clinic and, on occasion, in the surrounding community throughout the work week.
