In this hands-on role, you will work closely with the AI Engineering Lead and the Residential Underwriting Product Squad. Your responsibilities include building workflows for document intelligence, policy interpretation, and model evaluation. Collaboration with business SMEs and the Merlin Product Owner is crucial to translate complex business rules into AI systems and ensure seamless service integration.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design AI workflows supporting residential mortgage applications
• Build integrations with existing mortgage systems




• Develop production quality code using Python and SQL
• Implement safeguards for data privacy and security
• Support user acceptance testing and incident analysis

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Over 5 years of experience in AI or software engineering
• Hands-on experience with machine learning and document intelligence
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and CI/CD practices
• Robust knowledge of Azure and Databricks platforms
