About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager to lead their FMCG distribution centre in East London . This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and dispatch, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will be responsible for managing a large team, optimizing warehouse processes, and implementing best practices to meet operational targets and customer demands. This is a key leadership position offering the opportunity to drive excellence in logistics for a major FMCG player.
Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of the FMCG distribution centre , including receiving, warehousing, inventory control, and dispatch.
Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and accountability.
Implement and enforce health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize operational costs.
Manage inventory accuracy and implement effective stock control measures to reduce losses and discrepancies.




Collaborate with supply chain planning and transport teams to ensure seamless integration and timely delivery of goods.
Requirements Proven experience in managing operations within a large-scale warehouse or distribution centre environment, preferably in FMCG.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control best practices.
Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations within a logistics environment.
Demonstrated ability to optimize operational processes and drive efficiency improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
