SCOPE OFPOSITION : Responsible for general laundry duties asassigned. These may include the sorting, loading,
and folding of laundry anddelivering to units. Maintains a regular cleaning schedule of laundry area
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum completion of Grade Twelve (12) required
Knowledge and ability to operate and use institutional laundryequipment
Must demonstrate positive written and oral communication skills
Ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis
Must be comfortable working around seniors
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the processing of all linens and personal laundryitems includes collecting, sorting, and folding etc.
Responsible to use industrial washers and dryers according toguidelines
Maintains laundry stocks and delivers lines to the neighbourhoods
Responsible for the routine cleaning of all laundry equipment
Replenishes supplies
Reports defective equipment or linens to the Facility SupportManager
Is familiar with facility Policies and Procedures, Fire and Safety,and Emergency procedures and carries out guidelines of same
Attends staff education sessions as required
Performs other related duties as required

Salary Range:
In accordance withcurrent collective agreement between Ocean View Continuing Care Centre and C.U.P.E.Local 1245.
Rotation:
Combination of all shift types. Position requires weekend work. Schedule may change as necessary to ensurecoverage.
