Join Nova Scotia Health's team in Central Zone as a Senior Legal Counsel, where you will provide strategic legal support, focusing on research and innovation. Leverage your extensive experience to advise on complex agreements and clinical law matters.

In this permanent full-time role, you will report to the Managing Lawyer within the Clinical and Corporate Law Group. Your expertise will be crucial for the Research Innovation teams as you draft, review, and negotiate intricate commercial agreements. Collaborating with the Research Contracts team, you will assess legal needs and ensure compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice to senior leadership and staff
• Draft and negotiate complex intellectual property agreements




• Lead the review of commercialization and data use agreements
• Analyze sensitive legal issues in research contexts
• Collaborate with teams to enhance legal process efficiency

Requirements:
• Bachelor of Law (LLB/JD) required
• Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience
• Practicing member of Nova Scotia Barristers' Society
• Expertise in commercial agreements and IP law
• Strong research, analytical, and advocacy skills
