American Process Group (APG), a division of SANEXEN is seeking a USA Operations Manager to lead and strengthen our US field operations. This role can be based in Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada or in the United States with the requirement that the role must be able to travel to various project sites across the United States.
Job Description Working in close partnership with the Project Management team, the Operations Manager coordinates workforce planning, equipment and resource deployment, project mobilization, and site execution. The role strengthens operational consistency, field leadership, accountability, employee engagement, and client satisfaction across APG's environmental and infrastructure projects in the United States.

wHAT YOU'LL DO Lead US field operations across multiple project sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements and company standards.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure field operations comply with company health, safety, environmental, quality, and operational requirements.
Partner with Project Managers and field leaders on project planning, scheduling, forecasting, mobilization, execution, demobilization, and close-out.
Plan and coordinate personnel, equipment, materials, and other operational resources.
Collaborate with Canadian Operations Manager on equipment maintenance, utilization, and scheduling.
Directly manage, coach, and support US Superintendents, setting clear expectations for safety, productivity, quality, communication, accountability, and employee conduct.
Present new or revised Superintendent processes to the Director, Operations for review and approval before implementation.
Create and deliver training, coaching, and supporting materials that enable Superintendents to apply approved processes consistently.
Monitor operational performance, labour productivity, costs, equipment usage, and field capacity, and coordinate timely action when risks or constraints arise.
Develop practical, standardized tools, processes,
and operating expectations for Superintendents, and provide training and coaching to support consistent adoption.
Conduct regular site visits to support field teams, reinforce operational standards, and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Partner with HSE, Human Resources, Finance, and Project Management to support safety, workforce planning, employee development, and continuous improvement.
Maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, service providers, and internal stakeholders, helping resolve operational concerns quickly and professionally.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Direct reports: US Superintendents and other US operations personnel as assigned.
Indirect reports: Field employees assigned to US project sites through their respective Superintendents.
WHAT YOU BRING 8+ years of progressive experience in construction, industrial services, or related field operations
3+ years leading field or multi-site teams.
Experience with workforce planning, project mobilization, fleet maintenance, equipment deployment, field productivity, and operational cost control.
Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, project management, business, trades, or a related field is preferred is an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet, maintenance, scheduling, project management, or ERP systems such as D365 is an asset.
Ability and willingness to travel regularly to project sites throughout the United States and work outside standard business hours when operational needs require.
Valid driver's licence and passport to meet company travel and site-access requirements.
