This permanent position operates from the Central Zone and requires a Bachelor of Law along with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Expertise in drafting complex agreements, particularly in intellectual property and data use, is essential.
You will play a critical role in navigating multidimensional legal challenges while collaborating with Research Contracts teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice to senior leadership and research teams
Draft and review agreements for IP and commercialization
Analyze complex legal issues independently and collaboratively
Support research contract negotiations and compliance
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on relevant legal practices
Requirements:
Bachelor of Law (LLB/JD) and Nova Scotia Barristers' Society membership
Minimum of 8 years' relevant legal experience
Expertise in commercial agreements and IP law
Solid analytical and interpersonal skills
Computer proficiency and ability to manage workload
