Job Description / Duties
Main Job Responsibilities:Manage consumer bankruptcy and proposal engagementsProvide assessment of debtors when required by Debt Solutions ManagersPerform initial meetings and sign-up meetings, when requiredProvide advice on current bankruptcy laws and practices, conduct debtor assessments, oversee administration of insolvency estates, manage more complicated insolvency estatesChair meetings of creditors and negotiating with creditors as applicableAble to effectively communicate with debtors, creditors, the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy and the Courts through creditor meetings, reports, attendance at Court, etc.Prepare or assist in preparing all Court reports and documents. Attend Court as requiredAssist with managing court files, including taxation of feesOther duties as assigned or requiredQualifications / Required Skills
Qualifications / Required Skills:Fully Licensed Insolvency Trustee (minimum 5 years within a consumer insolvency firm)Excellent knowledge and understanding of insolvency rules, laws, and proceduresEffective multi-tasking skills and able to manage competing priorities to ensure deadlines are met and client satisfaction is achievedDetail oriented and logical, able to navigate through issues and provide effective solutions to problems or issuesFlexibility on working hours as some evening work may be requiredWillingness to travel to assist in the coverage of satellite offices, when requiredSalary : Commensurate with experienceEmployer Profile
