About the Role

HealthOPM is recruiting experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses for travel assignments at a hospital in Sechelt, British Columbia.

The current need includes specific coverage from November 27 to December 13, as well as additional OR coverage beginning January 1 onward.

Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room.
Prepare the operating room, equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
Support secure patient care before, during and immediately following procedures.
Perform circulating and other perioperative nursing responsibilities within scope and site requirements.
Maintain sterile practice and follow infection prevention and surgical safety standards.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers and the interdisciplinary surgical team.




Complete accurate clinical documentation and follow site policies and procedures.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse in British Columbia, or ability to obtain BC registration before the assignment.
Recent Operating Room / perioperative nursing experience.
Perioperative nursing education, training or equivalent relevant experience.
Current BLS.
Availability for the required Sechelt, BC travel assignment dates.
