Overview
We're looking for a highly organized anddetail-oriented Labour Relations and People Coordinator to join our Peopleand Culture team in Richmond.
Reporting to the Director, Labour Relations, you'llplay an important role in supporting labour relations operations acrossWorkSafeBC. You'll provide confidential coordination and administrative supportfor a broad range of activities, including grievance management, arbitrationand Labour Relations Board processes, collective bargaining preparation,reporting, records management, and stakeholder coordination.
Success in this role requires exceptionalorganizational skills, advanced attention to detail, sound judgment, and theability to manage multiple priorities while handling sensitive and confidentialinformation with discretion. You'll be responsible for preparing and editing awide range of correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting materials, andrecords, requiring strong written communication skills and a high degree ofaccuracy.
You'll also leverage technology to support theteam's work, using tools such as SharePoint, Excel, Microsoft 365 applications,and Copilot to manage information, maintain records, support reporting, andimprove efficiency. A key aspect of this role is documenting discussions andoutcomes from grievances, collective bargaining sessions, and other labourrelations meetings, where thorough, accurate, and objective note-taking isessential, as records may be relied upon in formal proceedings and legal hearings.
Thisis a temporary role for 18 months.

What you'll do
Provide confidential administrative andcoordination support to the Director, Labour Relations and Labour Relationsteam.
Coordinate and support grievance, arbitration,Labour Relations Board, and collective bargaining activities.
Prepare and maintain labour relationscorrespondence, reports, presentations, records, tracking systems, anddocumentation.
Coordinate meetings, hearings, bargainingsessions, and stakeholder consultations, including agendas, minutes, andfollow-up actions.
Assist with labour relations reporting,information tracking, records management, and SharePoint administration.
Support special projects and continuousimprovement initiatives while building effective relationships with internaland external stakeholders.
We’re looking for someone/people whocan:
Handle highly confidential and sensitive informationwith professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines whilemaintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Communicate clearly and effectively with a diverserange of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and workindependently in a fast-paced environment.
Analyze, organize, and synthesize information tosupport decision-making and operational activities.
Build collaborative working relationships and deliverresponsive, client-focused service.
Your background andexperience
Post-secondary education in Human Resources orBusiness Administration is preferred.
A minimum ofthree years of related work experience in an administrative role supportingsenior management and/or Director level operations.
Experience working in labour relations or a unionizedenvironment would be considered an asset.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications,including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
Experience coordinating meetings, preparing reports,maintaining records, and managing confidential information.
We'llconsider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
