In this vital role, you will collaborate with veterinarians and staff to ensure every animal receives high-quality care within a structured sanctuary setting. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of veterinary technician experience, particularly in shelter or emergency settings. Your compassionate approach will help optimize both individual and population health among animals in need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate new animal intakes for health conditions
• Communicate with families about medical histories and care plans
• Assist in ongoing treatment and preventative care
• Maintain accurate medical records for all animals
• Collaborate closely with animal care and behavior teams
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years experience as an RVT
• Familiarity with Avimark, EZVet, or IDEXX is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and adaptability
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Understanding of emotional complexities in animal care
