Make a difference in people's lives as a Supportive Housing Worker with The Salvation Army at the Ches Penney Centre of Hope. Provide essential support and resources to residents in need of stable housing.
This full time role focuses on helping residents navigate their housing situation while fostering community relationships. You will implement supportive programs that prioritize individual needs and promote health and well-being. Collaborate with community partners to offer the best support for those in transitional housing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement support plans for residents
• Conduct wellness checks and maintain resident documentation
• Lead skill-building workshops and group sessions
• Advocate for residents and connect them with community resources
• Liaise with community services and manage resident inquiries
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years experience in supportive housing
• Diploma in social work or related field preferred
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification required
• Recent Criminal History Check completed
