Halton Women’s Place is seeking a Part-Time Crisis Intervention Counsellor in Milton, Ontario, focused on providing immediate support to women at risk of domestic violence. This role involves crisis intervention, emotional support, and shelter operations during night shifts.

As a Crisis Intervention Counsellor, you will deliver essential client services, conduct risk assessments, and create personalized safety plans while ensuring smooth shelter operations. Collaboration and a trauma-informed approach are pivotal to this position, emphasizing respect and empowerment for women in crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emotional support and crisis intervention to clients
• Conduct client intake interviews and risk assessments
• Develop and update safety plans with clients




• Maintain accurate client records while ensuring confidentiality
• Assist with shelter operations and staff coordination

Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or related diploma required
• Experience in crisis intervention and advocacy
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
