Reporting to the Manager of Transit, the Transit Supervisor will be responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly administration and supervision of the Brantford Transit Bus Terminal. The Transit Supervisor will work in conjunction with the transit inspection staff, inter-city staff and transit operators. Duties include but are not limited to updating ridership statistics, ensuring adherence to Performance Standards; route planning: bus stop inventory and replacement schedule; analyze Revenue to cost performance for system; and ensure compliance with the Ontario Disabilities Act. Providing statistical information for service review update reports; and addressing customer service related complaints and suggestions. Administering the collective agreement with staff. Ensures all cash control procedures are followed for Transit related matters. Knowledge and experience with Transit Planning would be an asset.
Qualifications Applicants must possess a post-secondary education in relevant field
Over four (4)
years of previous transit related experience; including supervisory experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, video surveillance software, GPS equipment and related business/transportation software.
The successful candidate will have proven written, verbal and computer skills coupled with excellent customer service skills.
The successful candidate will hold a valid 'G' Ontario Driver's license in good standing. 'CZ license will be considered an asset.
The Transit Supervisor will possess the ability and skill to perform the duties of the position within a reasonable time and varying hours through the work week.
IMS 200 Certification or equivalent (ICS200) is considered an asset. Subject to course availability, certification must be achieved within the first year of employment.
As a condition of employment, proof of current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications will be required.
