Our client in the energy industry is seeking an Technician to join their team. As an Technician, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the team in designing and fabricating large metal coils for the development of plasma fusion experiments and machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, strong multi-disciplinary skillset, and experience with power tools.
Job Title: Engineering Technician Location: Richmond, BC Pay Range: $30-35/hr What's the Job? Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and tools in the laboratory
Assemble and operate custom-built equipment
Maintain cleanliness of mechanical workstations and equipment
Assist with upgrades to equipment
Champion safe work practices; proactively contribute to a outstanding work environment
Work independently as well as part of a team
What's Needed? Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
Strong multi-disciplinary skillset with demonstrated ability to work independently and reliably
Experience with power tools, ability to use drill press, hand router, and other industrial tools.
Ability to lift up to 20kg
Preferred: Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced research and development environment.
